Edit & Push: Customize Products Before Publishing

Clean up supplier listings, add your brand touch, and publish to your store—all before customers ever see them

Notes

You've imported a product from AliExpress. Now what?

Right now, it's sitting in your Import List—a safe staging area where products live until you're ready to publish. Why not push immediately? Because supplier listings are rarely store‑ready.

They often have messy titles, broken English, cluttered descriptions, and too many confusing variant options.

This guide shows you exactly what to edit and how to push the finished product to your store.

Edit Your Product in the Import List

Step 1: Open the Product Editor

  1. Go to DSers dashboard → Import List
  2. Click on any product card
  3. A pop‑up editor opens with these tabs: Products, Variants, Description, Images

Step 2: Clean Up the Product Title

The problem: Supplier titles are often keyword‑stuffed and hard to read.

Before (supplier title):

"2026 New Fashion Smart Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds 5.3 Sports Waterproof Headphones for iPhone Xiaomi Samsung"

After (cleaned up):

"Wireless Bluetooth 5.3 Earbuds – Waterproof Sports Headphones"

What to do:

  • Delete unnecessary words (brand names, "2026 New", "Fashion")
  • Keep only what matters to your customer
  • Capitalize properly
💡 Pro Tip: Paid plans include AI title optimization. Click the AI icon next to the title field and DSers will generate cleaner, SEO‑friendly options for you.

Step 3: Simplify Product Variants

The problem: Suppliers list every possible option, confusing customers and increasing returns.

Common issues:

  • "Color: Red, Red1, Red#01, Red-01" (all the same red)
  • Sizes in different languages (M, Medio, 中)

What to do in the Variants tab:

  • Rename duplicate‑looking options to match
  • Delete unnecessary variants (e.g., weird color names)
  • Uncheck variants you don't want to sell

Why this matters: Clean variants mean fewer wrong orders and happier customers.

Step 4: Rewrite the Description

The problem: Supplier descriptions are often poorly translated or just a wall of text.

What to do in the Description tab:

Delete these:

  • Gibberish or machine‑translated sentences
  • Repetitive warranty or shipping blocks
  • Random capital letters

Add these:

  • Short bullet points listing key features
  • A "Why You'll Love It" section with benefits
  • Clear sizing or compatibility info if needed

Example structure:

Features:
  • Bluetooth 5.3 for stable connection
  • 8 hours battery life
  • IPX7 waterproof rating
Includes:
  • Earbuds + charging case + USB cable + 3 ear tip sizes
💡 Pro Tip: Paid plans include AI description tools — you can enter desired keywords, provide style requirements (e.g., professional, casual, persuasive), and select the language. The AI will automatically generate a optimized product description.

Step 5: Select the Best Images

The problem: Supplier images may have watermarks, bad lighting, or irrelevant angles.

What to do in the Images tab:

  • Uncheck low‑quality or repetitive images
  • Keep only 3–5 clear, helpful photos
  • Make sure the main image is clean and attractive
💡 Pro Tip: Paid plans include AI image tools—remove backgrounds, erase watermarks, or enhance quality with one click.

Step 6: Set Your Price

Before pushing a product to your store, you need to decide what price to charge your customers.

How to find the right price:

Your selling price should consider three things:

  1. Market research – What do similar products sell for in your target market?
  2. Supplier cost – The product price + shipping to your destination country
  3. Your profit margin – The difference between your selling price and your total cost

Two ways to set prices in DSers:

Method How it works Best for
Manual In Import List → Edit window → Variants table, type the price for each variant directly Single products, testing different prices
Pricing Rules DSers auto-calculates price based on supplier cost + your desired margin Multiple products, scaling, consistent profits

⚠️ Important: Suppliers often set different prices for different shipping destinations. Before importing, set your default "Price for ship to country" so DSers fetches the correct cost for your target market.
